ABOUT GLORIA

Welcome to Gloria’s Family Day Care, I have been operating my Family Day Care Service for twenty eight years, prior to that I worked at childcare centres both here in Australia and in the UK.

In the Uk I worked with Social Services (Child Protection) which I thoroughly enjoyed helping to make a difference in vulnerable children’s lives

My decision to develop my own Family Day Care Business came after attending an interview for play leader at a Family Day Care Scheme

When I found out more information regarding Family Day Care it really appealed to me.

I was excited to be able to provide a service for families where the children could feel safe, secure and supported in a small group.

I am passionate about building trusting and respectful relationships with the children in my care and their families.

I believe children are unique individuals who need guidance and encouragement to reach their full potential in their own time.

My environment is set up to provide open ended learning opportunities through play.

Both indoors and outdoors taking into account the child’s likes and interests.

Emphasis on natural resources and neutral surroundings to create a calm atmosphere.

Teaching and encouraging sustainability.
