Welcome to Little Sprout’s Early Learning Day Care Service. My previous experience in child care was working in a Long Day Care Service, I then decided my passion lay in operating my own Family Day Care Service. Working in a small group allows me to support each child to be the best they can be.

Children are curious, vibrant and full of life. They want to learn about the world around them, and they want to experience it in their own way. In my experience, children are capable of learning at an early age and it’s our responsibility as parents and educators to provide them with the tools they need to develop as learners.

At Little Sprouts Early Learning, my aim is to provide an environment where children are able to use their imaginations through play and planned experiences. As a mother myself, I understand the early years of a child’s life are crucial to building strong foundations that will support their development and a strong sense of well-being.

As an educator i am able to see that free-play teaches children how to entertain themselves and helps them learn to think independently and develop decision making skills. It provides opportunities for children to discover what interests them and what they are good at. I’ll then to be able to extend their learning to what truly interests each individual child.

I believe play is most essential part of learning. independent play is also encouraged as children learn to design their own play. Freedom of these types of play allows children to be creative. I love incorporating basic life skills into my programming too, it’s a big part of life and with just a few simple skills, your developing child can gain confidence and be prepared to handle life in the future.

My goal as an educator is to provide children with a secure and calming environment where they feel safe to explore, initiate learning and free to express themselves and their imagination.
