Why Family Day Care?
Family Day Care offers a warm, nurturing, and personalised environment that can’t be replicated in larger childcare settings. At Nature Alliance Family Day Care, we focus on nature-based learning to enhance cognitive skills, improve physical health, and connecting with the natural world. Our close community of experienced educators sets us apart from corporate, templated child care.
This unique approach allows children to thrive in a home-like setting, building strong bonds with their educators and other children, in turn allowing them to grow, learn, and make lifelong friends.
Here are some of the reasons our families have chosen family day care with Nature Alliance:
- The child’s education and care is provided by an individual educator who is a qualified early childhood professional in a nurturing home environment
- The child is greeted by the same educator every single day they are in care
- Services are operated from the educator’s home making the child’s transition from home to care easier
- Educators work with small groups of no more than 7 children at any one time
- Educators work with an approved service that conducts regular visits to monitor the children’s individual development and provide support
Before You Begin
There are many things to consider when speaking to potential child care providers. Consider what’s most important to you and your family, and collate questions you would like to ask the Educator.
These may include:
-
How will I know what activities my child has done that day?
-
What is the sleeping routine like?
-
How will my child’s heritage be incorporated in the education program?
-
How does the service reflect the community in which it is located?
Have a look at the physical set-up of the whole service and consider whether your child will be happy and safe. Consider whether the service is equipped to meet your child’s particular needs, including disability or cultural requirements.
The Family Day Care Educator will become a very important person in your child’s life. Developing a strong partnership built on mutual respect will help ensure your child gets the best possible care.
