ABOUT JESSY

My name is Jessy, I am incredibly grateful and proud to introduce Blooms Collective Learning Service to the Dunsborough Community. I live and work on Wadandi Boodja and pay my respects to the Saltwater People, Elders and Custodians of the land.

I am an experienced Early Childhood Teacher and hold my Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, I have been a teacher for 15 years and specialise in Early Literacy and Language Development. I also majored in Special Needs Education. Teaching is my joy, my space to reconnect, to slow down and embrace the small moments.

I have two children, a 5 year old boy and a 1 year old girl. My energetic, risk taker, deep critical thinker and of course stick and rock collector son has kept me well and truly busy the past 5 years. My calm, explorer, flower hunter, animal watcher and happy little girl has taught me the vast difference in children’s personalities.

I love to nourish and be guided by children’s interests and explore a world through their views. I believe in creating lifelong learners who value their educational needs and have the confidence to express these needs.

Blooms Collective Learning Service will focus on individualised learning goals, co-regulation, food and hydration prioritisation and explore opportunities to rest our mind and body. Early Literacy, Numeracy, Social Skills, Speech, Fine and Gross motor skills will form a daily part of our activities. I will always support and empower children to make independent choices and encourage them to explore new and versatile environments.

I hold my First Aid certificate and update my CPR annually. I have a Bachelors of Early Childhood Education and have been a teacher for the past 15 years. I have a major in Special Needs Education. I thrive in professional development and training courses as I believe best practise and researched information is crucial to supporting the development of young minds.

Our family comprises of my incredibly supportive husband Glenn who is on a current FIFO roster, my son Sonny and my daughter Penny. I have a village of support with my amazing mum and nan Jo and my wonderful dad and pop Paul. My village all have their Working with Children Checks and Police Clearances. My family are my driving force behind creating a sustainable life style that allows me to be fully present in my children’s life.

My home and Blooms Collective Learning Service is a space to feel seen, supported and at ease. The level of educational experience and care I can provide is exceptional. I look forward to welcoming you and your family.

Kindness always, Jessy
