MADELEINE SZANN

Hello, my name is Madeleine. I am a Mum of two and an experienced school -based Early Childhood Teacher. My children and I love engaging in creative, nature play together. As a Kindergarten teacher I am experienced in providing an intentional play-based learning environment for young children. Opening Kaya Kin Family Day Care is the fruition of a long held dream to create a family and child friendly early learning community, where children experience a true sense of Belonging, Being and Becoming.

My family day care setting is a dedicated space, separate to our family home, with a large secure garden, enabling me to provide a great outdoor learning environment. Nature play, growing and harvesting opportunities in the garden will be available each day.

Initially I will be offering a Kindergarten program four days a week (Mondays to Thursdays), following the school terms. These sessions will be tailored to children aged 3 to 5 years. I also plan on offering after school care and vacation care for primary school aged children.

I will provide a nurturing and welcoming home away from home for your child. My Kindergarten sessions will run from 9am to 2:30pm. Your child will experience a fun filled day of play - based learning. Through play they will develop their creativity, problem solving, language, numeracy and social skills. Fresh, home-made morning tea and lunch will be provided.

After school care sessions will run from 3:30pm until 5:30 pm. The children will have the opportunity to participate in creative experiences including art, craft and cooking. A nutritious afternoon tea will be provided. Children in my Kindergarten program who need extended hours of care are welcome to enrol in both the Kindergarten sessions and after school care sessions.
